"We made from water every living thing"

Surah Al-Anbiya Verse 30 2026-09-01 19:29:22

Quranic verses

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

And We made from water every living thing. Then will they not believe?

Surah Al-Anbiya (21:30)

In Surah Al-Anbiya (21:30), the Quran declares:

"And We made from water every living thing. Then will they not believe?"

This statement that all life comes from water is today a fundamental truth of biology. Water is the main constituent of all living organisms: it represents about 70% of the human body, and up to 90% of some plants.
