The example of those who take protectors besides Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the most fragile of houses is the house of the spider, if they only knew.

Surah Al-Ankabut (29:41)

In Surah Al-Ankabut (The Spider, 29:41), the Quran declares: "The example of those who take protectors besides Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the most fragile of houses is the house of the spider, if they only knew."

This parable compares the weakness of protectors taken besides Allah to the fragility of the spider's web. The Quran affirms that the spider's dwelling is "the most fragile" (awhan al-buyut).
